Yu Gin: The Yuzu Gin
Inspired by the Yuzu Fruit
Inspired by Japanese traditions and the famous Yuzu lemon, Yu Gin offers: freshness, subtlety and a wealth of aromas, all in an originally designed glass bottle reminiscent of a Zen garden.
This small fruit between lemon and clementine - at first glance a little unattractive, full of seeds and with a thick skin - has unrivalled gustatory qualities.
Used by the greatest chefs and perfumers, yuzu has also been beloved by the Japanese for ages for its relaxing and refreshing properties both in Japanese cuisine and in centuries old customs such as Yuzuyu, where the fruit is floated in the hot water of a bath on tōji (winter solstice), to guard against colds, warm the body and relax the mind.

What's striking about Yu Gin Black Lemon is the breadth of its aromatic profile. Yuzu, as in the original Yu Gin, brings its elegant freshness, counterpointing the aromatic expression of juniper. Black lemon complements it with its slightly oxidative notes, smoky touches, and woody, zesty accents. It structures the gin, giving it a personality that is both expressive and profound. A delicate bouquet of spices enhances this unique blend; caraway, ginger, cardamom, and coriander complete this luminous and unforgettable accord.
Yu Gin Black Lemon is distilled after a multi-stage maceration of the various ingredients. This is essential for optimal aromatic quality.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Brilliant, clear color, light and creamy texture.
Nose: Bouquet of zest and juniper, with slightly woody tones.
Palate: Great freshness allowing the expression of the fresh, deep, and powerful notes of black lemon, with smoky and woody accents well integrated with fresh yuzu zest. A spicier finish, with a beautiful length on the palate where coriander and ginger come through.
