Lucien Gaudin
Ingredients
1 ounce Yu Gin
½ ounce Cointreau
½ ounce Campari
½ ounce Guérin Dry White Vermouth
lemon peel
Add ingredients to a mixing glass over ice and stir about 30 seconds until well chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a citrus twist, preferably on a cocktail pick to represent the fencing foil.
This cocktail is named after Lucien Gaudin, a French fencer who won gold and silver medals at the Olympics in the 1920s. “He competed in foil and in épée events at the 1920, 1924 and 1928 Olympics and won a gold or silver medal in every event he entered, accumulating four gold and two silver medals total.” Wikipedia
