Sazerac

Ingredients

  • La Muse Verte Absinthe, to rinse

  • 2 ounces Monnet VSOP Cognac

  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup

  • 3 dashes Peychaud’s bitters

  • Garnish: lemon peel


Process

Rinse your chilled glass with La Muse Verte Absinthe and set aside. Add Monnet VSOP Cognac, simple syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass over ice and stir until well-chilled. 

Discard extra absinthe and strain the cocktail into the glass. Express lemon oil over the glass and garnish with the peel.
