Ceremony to award the Ordre National du Mérite Agricole to Christine Cooney

On Monday, October 13, 2023, the Consul General, Mr. Mustafa Soykurt, presented Mrs. Christine Cooney, co-founder and owner of Heavenly Spirits, with the insignia of Chevalier de l’Ordre du Mérite Agricole.

Christine Cooney, co-founder and co-owner of Heavenly Spirits, has been helping to promote and enhance French spirits in the United States for over 30 years. As Heavenly Spirits celebrates its 15th anniversary, the company has undeniably become one of, if not the largest, importer of Armagnac in the country.

The ceremony, held to mark the 15th anniversary of Heavenly Spirits, showcased the best that France has to offer in terms of spirits, gastronomy, and savoir-faire.

Indeed, the entire Heavenly Spirits portfolio was present at the celebration, which took place at the French Library, to present their products through a tasting, including some very rare Cognacs and Armagnacs over 50 years old. French restaurant La Voile was also present, offering signature cocktails, as well as French hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
